For schools and families · Coming soon

School and home, on the same page.

A new app that brings everything a school needs a family to know, do, approve or answer into one calm place.

See how it works

The problem

School life arrives in pieces.

A circular in one WhatsApp group, a consent slip at the bottom of a schoolbag, a reminder that lands after the deadline. Families miss things, and teachers spend their evenings following up.

The idea

Every message becomes something you can finish.

Here, a notice isn't just something to read. It arrives with what to do and by when, and it's done when you've done it.

  • Circular_final_v2.pdf
  • Pls sign and send tomorrow
  • Is Monday a holiday?
  • Which page for homework?
  • Reminder: trip slip
  • Missed call: class teacher

Illustration: 247 unread messages become three things to do, on one Today screen. Tap each one to finish it.

What changes

Same school. A calmer day.

The notices, slips and registers stay. The scrolling, guessing and chasing go.

Families

  1. Notices

The usual way: Scroll a busy class group to find the one message that mattered.

With the app: Open Today and see only what needs doing, each with your child's name and a due date.

  2. Consent

The usual way: Sign a paper slip and hope it reaches the classroom.

With the app: Answer the consent slip in two taps, wherever you are.

  3. Homework

The usual way: A ping for every subject's homework, all evening long.

With the app: One homework summary for each child, in the afternoon.

Class teachers

  1. Who's signed

The usual way: Scroll back through replies to work out who has signed.

With the app: See who said yes, who said no, and who hasn't answered yet.

  2. Reminders

The usual way: Message or phone each family that hasn't replied.

With the app: Remind everyone who hasn't answered, in one tap.

  3. Absences

The usual way: Collect notes about absences, one morning at a time.

With the app: Approve an absence the family explains from the alert they received.

The school office

  1. Attendance

The usual way: Walk the corridors to find which classes haven't marked attendance.

With the app: See which classes still have attendance to mark, as the morning goes.

  2. Phone answers

The usual way: Answers given over the phone end up in a notebook.

With the app: Record a phone answer, so every count is complete.

  3. Follow-up

The usual way: Learn who missed a notice after it was too late.

With the app: See which families still have something to do, while there's time.

From paper to a tap

The permission slip, rethought.

The usual way. Print it, sign it, send it in a schoolbag, and hope it arrives.

With the app. It arrives on the phone, names the child, and takes two taps.

Illustration. Names and the school are invented.

A school day

One tap here. Everyone who needs to know, knows.

Play through a day at school. Each tap reaches the people it's for, and the school sees it done.

  1. The class teacher marks who's absent and submits. The office sees Class 4B is done, and the family is told.

  2. Nila's parent explains the absence from the same alert. The teacher approves it, and attendance updates itself.

  3. 38 of 42 families have answered the trip consent. One tap reminds the other four, and an answer given by phone counts too.

  4. Six subjects post homework through the day. Families get one summary in the afternoon, not a ping for each.

  5. A reminder sent late waits until morning. It will never wake a family at night.

  6. A parent with children at two schools sees each school on its own. Nothing from one is ever shown to the other.

The details

Small things, done with care.

  • Every card names the child

With two or three children at school, you never have to guess who a notice is about.

  • Only what's meant for you

A notice for Class 4B reaches the families of Class 4B, not the whole school.

  • One reminder, not a stream

If something is still to do, a single reminder arrives before it's due, not a stream of messages.

  • Every date in one calendar

Holidays, exams and events for all your children, in one place.

Our commitment

Your child's data is not the business model.

Schools pay for it. Families never pay with their privacy.

  • No advertising

It will never show ads to families, teachers or children.

  • Never sold

School and family data is not for sale, to anyone, ever.

  • Kept with the school

No profiles built across schools. Each school's data stays its own.

A note from us

Ask any school about its evenings and you'll hear the same story. Teachers scrolling back through a class group to see who has replied. A parent finding a permission slip at the bottom of a schoolbag on the morning it's due. Someone in the office phoning round to finish a count.

None of it is anyone's fault. School life simply arrives in too many places at once.

We're building this so that a message from school ends in something done, and the people who teach get their evenings back. We're taking our time, building it with a few schools first, and keeping children's information where it belongs: with their school.

This is the first leaf

Shape it with us.

It will grow alongside the schools that use it, and we'll share more as each part is ready. We're starting with a small number of schools. If you run or teach at one and want a say in how it works, we'd love to hear from you.

Wish your child's school worked like this? Tell us which school it is. Hearing from families helps us decide where to start.

You know better than anyone where the evenings go. Tell us, and help shape how it works for the people who teach.

We're starting with a small number of schools, and building it with them. If you'd like yours to be one of them, write to us.
